ShofarGov™ Overview
ShofarGov™
ShofarGov™ uses technology to involve an informed populous motivated by self-interest to hold the government accountable to the people.
ShofarGov™ is our inroad to “change the system” using simple software solutions at no taxpayer expense.
“Governments are instituted among Men,
deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”
Our Plan
Our ultimate goal is to make government, from local to national, more accountable to the people. We do that by letting people know what the government knows about them and when they know it. A secondary benefit is the savings of billions of taxpayer dollar, which alone has merit.
Our strategy is to attack the soft underbelly of government, the paper form.
Our technology interfaces well with other software, but when ShofarGov™ is used by an agency to store the forms, any access to the data is logged and the users are informed. Rather than a citizen having to go through hoops to find out about themselves, making them look suspicious, unless you opt out you get all this information as it happens.
For example, if your DMV uses ShofarGov™ to manage licenses and someone in a federal agency wants some or all of that information you are notified immediately. There will be more hesitancy for casual perusing of private information. Large scale misuse can result is a large scale response.
Can this technology be worked around? Of course! But now we have reason to ask why they would do that.
Our Strategy
Governments spend billions of taxpayer dollars to do this to a lesser degree in piecemeal with the focus on the agencies, not the taxpayer. Corporations that serve the government provide better return for their investors if the system remains complicated at the expense of the taxpayer. Where is the advocate for the taxpayer?
For dollars in the thousands, not billions, we can build the system. For a few hundred thousand dollars we can build an infrastructure to support a significant number of government agencies and communicate to all of our citizens. Then with the help of volunteer and paid developers we can complete the system with every form the government has.
What the that kind of system in place, the pressure will be there for agencies large and small to make use of ShofarGov™.
Our Consortium
We are not trying to build an organization, but a consortium of individuals and small groups. There is no central command to corrupt. There is no single point of failure. This idea of independence worked well for the Thirteen Colonies and can work well for us today.
